Independence Day

4th of July is right around the corner! Check out our Independence Day Lesson Plan. You better stock up on some red, white and blue paint and food coloring for this week.

The bit of information that made all the difference in this lesson was telling my girls that Independence Day is America's Birthday. It made them excited to participate in the activities because they viewed it like we're getting ready for a party (which will happen on July 4, we just started a little early). We listened to patriotic songs while we did our crafts so we could familiarize ourselves with the songs and their lyrics. Come the day of the party, we will be ready to celebrate with singing, dancing, and decorations.

Check out our Independence Day lesson plan and activity sheets. It's loaded with tons of patriotic fun. We did our best to choose activities that are simple to put together with materials you probably already have around the house. We've also decided to included simple cut outs for a couple of the activities (Start sorting & Freeform Flag). We hope that by offering certain supplies necessary to complete an activity, you will be able to truly enjoy your little one's learning and development. Don't forget you can also checkout our Pinterest for more idea related to this theme, including snack time! Please share with us how your Toddlerschool journey is going by commenting below or sending us an email. We can't wait to see how you've implemented these activities in your home. However you go through the lesson plan, make sure you have fun with it!
