Top 3 Experiences from 2023 & more for 2024

Sheesh, where did the time go? 2023 flew by. It was a year of growth for Toddlerschool. I tried to take up every opportunity that came my way and it was rewarding. As I reflect on all the blessings of 2023 I would have to say the following are my top 3 experiences from 2023.

1.) Our Garden

Starting our garden has been such a rewarding journey. One day we just thought we'd try growing our own papayas because we enjoyed them so much over the summer. Then we added tomatoes, lettuce (lettuce isn't going well for us), and avocado. We’re looking forward to add more to our garden in 2024.

2.) Toddlerschool Pop-Up & Field Trip

After joining Northshore Playgroup we had the opportunity to host our very first Toddlerschool Pop-up, teaching the keiki all about fire trucks. Then we had the privilege of visiting our local fire station. Coordinating these events helped me to grow both personally and professionally. My girls and I made new friends and at the same time I gained experience coordinating activities for larger groups of keiki. Now we look forward to having an event every month.

3.) Christmas Craft Fair

We had the opportunity to participate in the Polar Express Craft Fair and it was so rewarding. We offered melted snowman slime, free coloring pages, and letters to Santa. Then we shared all our extra supplies with our favorite playgroup.

Now that weʻve entered a new year we have lots goals and plans that we canʻt wait to share. Here's a few things you can expect to see from us in 2024:

1.) Monthly Theme

We normally choose a theme for the month and do activities based on the theme. This year, instead of set lesson plans, I'll offer a free list of activities and book recommendations. The worksheets made for each theme will be available for purchase.

2.) Toddlerschool Pop-Ups

We hope to have 1 Pop-Up every month. We will add the events to our calendar so you can stay up to date and plan accordingly. We will also be sharing more information on our blog and social media in the days approaching the event.

3.) Field Trips

We want more field trips! We had so much fun on our trip to the fire station that I think we need to offer more field trips. Unfortunately these events won't always be available for free but I can guarantee you that your keiki will enjoy it. Keep an eye out for more information regarding our first field trip.

We're looking forward to more opportunities in 2024 and hope you can join us soon.

Happy New Year!
